Tinymop is made by Devefy LLC. This page explains what the app and this website collect. Last updated 16 October 2026.

The short version

  • Tinymop scans your Mac on your Mac. What it finds, and what you clean, never leaves your computer.
  • There is no tracking and there are no ads. The app never reports how you use it, and this website keeps only simple daily totals, such as downloads per country (see below).
  • The app only goes online for the few things listed below.

When the app goes online

  1. Activating your licence. Tinymop sends your licence key and your Mac's name to Polar, who sells Tinymop for us, so the licence can be checked and tied to this Mac. Later checks send the licence key and an ID for this Mac.
  2. The Updates tool, when you use it. To see whether your apps have updates, Tinymop sends the IDs of your App Store apps (like com.apple.Pages) to Apple, and reads the update feeds published by the makers of your other apps. Those servers see a normal web request from your Mac, like any app that checks for updates.
  3. Checking the time, rarely. If your Mac's clock seems to have gone back (it is behind a time Tinymop saw before), the version from this website asks tinymop.com for the current time, so a wrong clock can't end your free trial by mistake. The request sends nothing about you or your Mac.

Nothing else is sent: not your files, their names, your scan results or how you use the app.

When you buy

Polar is the merchant of record: they take the payment, handle tax and send your receipt and licence key. Your card details go to them, never to us. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can support you and process refunds. See Polar's privacy policy for how they handle your data.

This website

tinymop.com doesn't use tracking cookies or analytics scripts. When you download Tinymop, the site adds one to that day's download total for your country, which our host, Cloudflare, works out from your connection. Checks the app makes to tinymop.com for its own updates are counted the same way, with the app's version number. Only the date, the country, the version and the count are kept: not your IP address or anything else that could identify you or your Mac. The checkout opens a page from Polar, which may set its own cookies; the script that opens it is loaded from jsDelivr, a public code host. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
